In the 3 match test series against India, Sri Lankan team seems to take the control of the opening match with a lead of 334 runs on Thursday.
Earliar India won the toss and elected to bat first. They contributed 426 runs for the loss of all ten wickets.
The tourist team then played outstanding and declared their first innings at 760 for the loss off seven wickets which includes 275 runs of Mahela Jayawardene while his namesake Prasanna and Tillakaratne contributed 154 and 112 respectively.
With a career best performance of 154 runs Prassana helps Sri Lanka to post the highest innings(591/5 overnight) score in India by any team.
On the next day then added more 169 for the loss of two wickets and made the total 760 in their first innings before they declare.
